While Team India is riding high with a series win in Australia and New Zealand, India’s batsman KL Rahul’s form, on the other hand, has been dipping ever since.
Kl Rahul had a disastrous series in Australia, amassing just 57 runs in three tests. Also, Koffee with Karan controversy added salt to the wound, leaving the right-handed batsman shattered.
After receiving backlash from across the nation owing to sexist comments in the show KL Rahul was recently permitted to resume playing by the committee of administration which saw him making his way to England to join India A. However, the right-handed batsman hasn’t yet regained his touch with scores of 13, 42, and 0 to his name.
In the last one year, KL Rahul’s form has been dipping consistently, raising questions over his chances to play in the team again. India A team’s head coach Rahul Dravid isn’t too much worried about his form though who thinks that the Karnataka batsman has the ability to make a comeback in the side.
“He (KL) got a good first ball today as it seemed. I have no doubt that he has got quality and ability. He is playing four-day games as well and he has shown that he can succeed at the international level in all three formats,” Dravid told reporters after India A won the five-match series 4-1 against England Lions.
“He has got a hundred in T20, ODI and Test and not many batsmen have that record. He is a proven performer and I am not too worried about his form,” the India A coach added.
