As a form of the participation of the Public Broadcasting Institute Radio Republik Indonesia (LPP RRI) in contributing to Islamic religion, especially in the month of Ramadan, LPP RRI Bukittinggi held a Tilawatil Quran Week (PTQ) at the Bukittinggi City level which was held on May 29 and 30, 2017 at the LPP RRI Bukittinggi Hall which was opened by the Mayor of Bukittinggi represented by Economic and Development Aisten Ismail, Monday (29/5).
“PTQ is an annual agenda organized by LPP RRI at 72 RRI broadcasting stations held to find representatives of each RRI LPP to the same competition at the National level held at RRI Surakarta, Solo, Central Java on June 3 to 8, 2017,” said Head of LPP RRI Samirwan in his speech as the organizing committee.
Samirwan said, this year three categories were contested, namely Men’s and Women’s Adult Tilawah which was attended by 42 participants, Tausiah was attended by 20 participants and Children’s Tilawah was attended by 60 participants. Compared to last year, there was a 20 percent increase in the number of participants, said Samirwan.
“For the first place in Men’s and Women’s Adult Tilawah and Women’s Tausiah will be included in the National level championship in Solo, for that to the jury and the board of judges we give full confidence to choose the best as the representative of LPP RRI Bukittinggi to the National Level,” he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bukittinggi through the assistant for Economy and Development Ismail said, very appreciative of the implementation of this activity carried out in the month of Ramadan where the implementation of this PTQ can foster the religious values of the community, especially the younger generation, in broadcasting tausiah and broadcasting religion, he said.
“Given the development of technology, in the future it is recommended that the Tilawatil Quran Month be held, where one month the selection of participants is carried out by the committee via telephone or internet channels, then for the next selection the Tilawatil Quran Week will only be carried out live, this is to filter the talents that have been hidden so far,” Ismail suggested. reported by bukittinggi.go.id.
