A typical cottage industry of Nagari Balingka, the delicious and savory peanut kipang is made from peanuts, real cane sugar, and a little fragrance.
This typical souvenir of Bukittinggi, was produced in Balingka, a small village at the foot of Mount Singgalang. The sale of kipang is first by “deposited” in shops (stalls), kipang wrapped in plastic, then coated with dried banana leaves, and coated again with white newsprint.
In line with its development until now, Citra bean kipang from Balingka has been famous not only in Bukittinggi but also abroad, Malaysia. Used as souvenirs or souvenirs that are brought home when traveling to Bukittinggi.
Now Kipang kacang souvenirs Citra has its own shop in Gulai Bancah and the packaging is also with branded boxes.
