Marandang Festival will be held in Bukittinggi as an event in commemoration of the Anniversary of Bukittinggi City which falls on December 22, 2016. This event will be held by the Indonesian Enchantment Generation (Genpi) of Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. Secretary of the Bukittinggi Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), Emil Anwar said his party welcomed and supported the activity.
Emil Anwar said his party welcomed and supported activities organized by the community in an effort to advance the region, including in the field of tourism. He said the local government would support the smooth running of activities
“Together with Genpi, we have coordinated, including involving Family Welfare Development (PKK) and other institutions at the village level. We will provide support if there are things needed for the smooth running of the activity,” he said, as quoted from Antarasumbar (12/12/16).
He said that with the Marandang Festival, on December 24, 2016 there were two activities carried out to enliven HJK after previously the local city government prepared the Bukittinggi Berhijab event.
“We have installed billboards in strategic locations related to HJK warning information. Immediately we also prepare the installation of billboards at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) Padangpariaman so that the wider the information and the more crowded the activities, “he said.
